General
Info
I'm committed to creating images that represent you
in the best light - images that you will be proud and
excited to send out and show others. That means getting
to know you and understanding what you need in a studio
session. It is your career that we're working on; I
respect that and will contribute positively to that.
If you're open and prepared, youÌll get great headshots.
The Shoot
Everybody needs and wants a different amount of coaching
when they shoot. It's okay if you're not sure how much
you'll need or want. It's my job to find out, intuitively
and by asking.
First, I'll make sure we're on the same page, we have
a good idea of what you are going for (like what kind
of looks/headshots), and we agree on how to get there.
We'll plan out some clothing choices and some background
and lighting choices. I'll give you some tips for engaging
the camera in general. We'll do some test shots. We'll
take a look at the test shots on a TV monitor and make
sure you really like what's going on there.
I like to see where you take things first and then step
in with ideas to make sure I think you're fully covered
in terms of having lots of great choices for now and
in the future with your headshots.
I have my secret tricks for getting great smiles, sexy
looks, and dramatic looks while still being inviting.
I could tell you those, but then . . . .
The most important thing I do is make sure you feel
comfortable when we begin and that you stay in that
space. The more comfortable you feel, the better you'll
perform.
Ordering
Process
Within 24 hours of your shoot the images will be posted
online and you will be emailed a link to them. They
remain up for 4 weeks. 1-2 weeks after the shoot your
hard copy proofs and preview disk will be mailed to
you. Next, you email me your order (specific details
of ordering process are below). You may order as early
as you like. You may also order different shots YEARS
later. I save everything indefinitely.
Digital Advantage
With digital, I can shoot more for you and let you keep
the best, deleting the not-so good ones. I let you see
on a monitor all of the images of the shoot, so you
can tell not only the lighting, pose, clothes, framing,
and makeupÛyou can tell how the shoot is going. Plus,
as I'm shooting I monitor and instantly edit out a lot
of the unusable shots (closed eyes, etc.) that you would
have been stuck with in film. The result: more and better
headshots.

Clothing
for Modeling Shoots
Clothing for modeling shoots is something we should
discuss before a shoot if at all possible. You are responsible
for your own wardrobe, so it's best to plan ahead. I
can discuss with you during a free consultation or simply
over the phone -- a game plan for different looks. Then,
you can gather the right clothes for those looks.
On top of that, I'd bring plenty of extra clothes, especially
tops of all kinds of colors and shades. Look at the
info page in the actors section of this website for
more general info about clothing.
ORDERING
YOUR IMAGES
Please place your order for Final Images by sending
me an email with all the info below to info@aarongang.com
with the subject IMAGE ORDER. What you're going
to get from me is an electronic version of your headshot,
complete with retouching, cropping if desired, and your
name underneath.
Step One: send email order (call if you have no email).
Step Two: receive email proof from me and approve it.
Step Three: I send you and the printer a high resolution
tiff file.
Step Four: you contact the printer to place your order.
Use your proofs or preview disk to select the images
you’d like to order. Make your selections and
find the number (Your Name 032.jpg is simply #32)..
If you do not have email, you can phone in; if you phone
and don’t get me, leave a voicemail with your
choices. Remember, you get 1 image included at no cost
PER each look you’ve paid to shoot (3 looks gets
you 3 final images). Additional Images on Disk are $35.
I will email you a preview of the work I’ve done
on your images so you can approve it.
Please make sure I get the following information for
each image choice:
1) Image number
2) Color or black and White
3) If it's actor's headshots: your name
as you want it to spelled under headshot plus the name
of the font you want from the back of this sheet (no
name for model comp shots)
4) Any cropping instruction (describe what you want
cropped out)
5) Any special retouching concerns (I automatically
do obvious stuff)
Non Actors/Models: I can prepare your images custom
per your specifications. If you're not sure what
you need, call me and we'll talk it out.
