“We had an amazing time working with Aaron for Actor Headshots. He came highly recommended by our high school’s drama director. From the moment we booked the session, Aaron provided us with all the information we needed and had an engaging pre-call. On the day of the shoot, my son felt comfortable and well-prepared. Aaron treated us exceptionally well, capturing stunning photographs. The photo retouching phase was just as organized
WHAT AARON GANG LOVES ABOUT ACTOR HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY
I started the business in 1998 for actors as an actor. I was on a regular improv team at IO, formerly Improv Olympic. I spent a lot of time at the bar when the old theatre was across the street from Wrigley Field. One repeating conversation captured my attention: the conversation where several actors talked about getting their headshots done and complained about the personality of the photographer. Thus Aaron Gang Photography was built on two thoughts: I have most of the technical background I need, and I’ll never be a jerk to people!
I am a performer at heart. I started acting in high school. While I no longer act, I do perform as a community leader in a men’s personal growth work organization. I love theatre, art, music, dance, and all the things actors are great at talking about.
I also love directing, and I get to direct each time a new actor is in front of my camera. I love helping an actor stretch into their inner sovereign, or coaching them into a super sexy look they didn’t think they had in them.
Offering my unique set of skills in service to actors feels great. I have 5 years of intense personal growth work under my belt. I am a leader in a global men’s growth work organization. This has given me some unique ways to help a client bring out their gold and let it shine for the world to see.
In the end, it always comes down to people: meeting people and creating relationships. That’s what I love about actor headshot photography.
